My name is Ashton Laurence, the eyelinermonarch. I am an Afro-Caribbean creative entrepreneur currently based in Nairobi, Kenya. I primarily use music as a tool to express my artistic experience in order to empower, entertain and enlighten my audiences while showcasing Black Queer Excellence. I make pop music and I am greatly inspired by the works of Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Adam Lambert. My skills include singing, songwriting, rapping, beat production, vocal arrangement, recording and performing as well. I am also a professional actor with experience in voice overs, film and theatre. Lastly I run a live music showcase called Ashton Laurence’s Wunderlust Party, which I headline.
